Braun Strowman Looks To Be Out Of WWE Action With Injury

UPDATE: Braun Strowman has seemingly confirmed his injury with the following tweet.

The Monster of All Monsters appears to be dealing with a potentially monstrous injury. PWInsider is reporting that, according to multiple sources, Braun Strowman is currently out of WWE action after suffering a concussion.

When the injury occurred was not confirmed but Strowman’s last match took place this past Friday on Smackdown when he and Ricochet took on The Viking Raiders. It would appear the injury took place during that match because rematches between the two teams were scheduled for this past weekend’s WWE live shows but Strowman was pulled from the road in order to heal.

The timing of Strowman’s reported injury isn’t ideal for the big man. His team with Ricochet has received regular WWE TV time and the crowds seem to be taking to the duo. Earlier this month, they participated in the WWE WrestleMania Men’s Showcase match that largely received praise from fans and pundits. While not confirmed, it would seem the two men were on course to enter the WWE tag team title picture at some point.

Strowman returned to WWE in September of 2022 after being released from the company the year prior. Upon his return, the former Wyatt Family Member was inserted into a battle of the big man feud with Omos that culminated in a match at Crown Jewel. Strowman was victorious in the bout and proceeded to enter the Smackdown World Cup, with the winner receiving an Intercontinental Title shot against Gunther.

Ricochet was able to defeat Strowman in the semi-finals of that tournament following interference from Imperium. After the interference, Strowman, and Ricochet bandied together to feud with the European faction and have been paired ever since.

There is currently no timeline for when Strowman will return to the road for WWE. How his absence will affect plans for Ricochet, or the WWE Draft, is also yet to be seen.
