Seth Rollins Joins A Different Kind Of New World Order

In the late to mid-90s, there was arguably no cooler stable in pro wrestling than the New World Order. The renegade group of former WWE talent wreaked havoc on the WCW roster, with some giving up the fight and ultimately joining the group. Their popularity became so strong that splinter factions like the LWO emerged, which is still causing chaos to this day.

Now, it appears that another kind of New World Order is clashing with the pro wrestling universe, Marvel’s Captain America: New World Order. A fan on Twitter has shared photos, and a video, from the film set in Atlanta, and low and behold, Seth “Freaking” Rollins is in full costume, ready to make a cameo. As of this writing, Rollins, whose real name is Colby Lopez, is not listed on the IMDB page for the film, or his own page.

Rollins is currently scheduled for a huge WWE World Heavyweight Championship match against AJ Styles at Night of Champions. The big bout was hyped on Raw last night but not with Rollins appearing live in front of the crowd. Instead, The Architect was featured in a series of backstage vignettes with Corey Graves, looking back at his impressive WWE career, and ultimately challenging the new generation of Superstars to step up their game. It seems likely Rollins was not at Raw due to his filming obligations.

Rollins is not the only WWE star to make the leap to the Marvel universe. Former WWE World Champion Dave Bautista, aka Batista, recently wrapped up his time playing Dax The Destroyer as part of the Guardians of The Galaxy franchise. Mercedes Mone’, aka Sasah Banks, may not be in the Marvel universe but she can be seen in a galaxy far, far away as part of The Mandalorian on Disney+. Rollins’ wife, Becky Lynch, has also begun her transition to Hollywood, having appeared on Billions, and notably portraying Cindi Lauper on Young Rock.
