Update: Haus of Wrestling has confirmed with a WWE representative that Becky Lynch’s reason for missing WWE Superstar Spectacle is legitimate and not part of any storyline.
WWE returns to India this Friday night with WWE Superstar Spectacle, headlined by John Cena and Seth “Freaking” Rollins taking on Imperium’s Giovanni Vinci and Ludwig Kaiser. Haus of Wrestling has learned that WWE Intercontinental Champion GUNTHER is also traveling to India and will likely be in their corner. One big name who will apparently not be on the show is “The Man” Becky Lynch.
“I’m sorry to all the fans in Hyderabad, India,” Lynch began on social media. “I was so excited to perform for you – but as there was a tiny tear in my passport l have not been allowed to board my flight. @qatarairways“
The fact Lynch went so far as to tag Qatar Airways could be a signal that there is some legitimacy to her claim.
Elsewhere on the WWE Superstar Spectacle card, Rhea Ripley will defend the WWE Women’s World Championship against Natalya, and Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn will take on Indus Sher’s Sanga and Veer Mahaan with Jinder Mahal. As of now, the event is not scheduled to air live on Peacock.
