Paul Heyman Wants LA Knight To Be The One Who Knocks

Tonight’s WWE Friday Night Smackdown episode went live from the TD Garden in Boston, MA, not far from the hometown of John Cena, West Newbury. During tonight’s episode, LA Knight, who is reportedly looked at internally as WWE Smackdown’s top babyface, defeated former WWE United States Champion Austin Theory. Prior to the match, Knight was confronted by Grayson Waller, who jawjacked with the loudmouthed Superstar before introducing his new friend, Theory. The two braggadocious Superstars now appear to be officially aligned following a tag team win over the LWO last Friday night.

Once his victory was in the books, Knight made his way to the backstage area, where he confronted WWE authority figure Adam Pearce, demanding a match against The Miz. Pearce agreed with Knight and made the match official for next week, presumably on Smackdown. Once Pearce left the room, Paul Heyman, who had been speaking with him previously about Jey Uso being sent to Raw and who Smackdown would get in return, formally introduced himself to Knight.

“My name is Paul Heyman, and I am a huge admirer of your work,” he said. “Yeah! It’s catchy.”

After heaping what appears to be false praise on Knight, Heyman informed him that the next time security at the door of his locker room tells him it is occupied, to “Knock first. Are we clear?”

Knight responded by whispering in Heyman’s ear, “Yeah.”

Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns was once again absent from WWE Friday Night Smackdown this week. Once he returns, The Tribal Chief will be looking for fresh competition, and, with as hot as the Yeah Movement is, he could be talking about LA Knight as his next opponent.
