Dragon Lee No Longer Appears To Be Part Of WWE NXT

This past Friday night on WWE SmackDown, Dragon Lee picked up a victory over former WWE United States Champion Austin Theory. It was a big win for Lee, who has largely competed on WWE NXT since his signing with the sports entertainment juggernaut. He has wrestled on the main roster before this past Friday night, losing to WWE NXT North American Champion Dominik Mysterio last month on an episode of WWE Raw.

It appears that Lee’s time as an NXT Superstar has come to an end, as his official WWE profile has been moved to the SmackDown roster page. Haus of Wrestling is working to confirm the move. You can find his official WWE profile description below.

A second-generation Lucha Libre Superstar, Dragon Lee has won championships worldwide with his supreme skills as both a singles competitor and a tag team aficionado.

The high-flying and uber-athletic Dragon Lee has earned industry-wide respect with his seamless blend of acrobatics with mat technician skills.  The Mexican-born Superstar has ruled every ring that he’s ever graced with his unique and jaw-dropping offense. After proving himself in NXT, Lee descended on SmackDown, ready to make a splash on the blue brand.

Before signing with WWE and starting with them at the beginning of the year, Lee was one of the top stars in Mexico and worldwide. He is a two-time ROH TV champion, two-time ROH World Tag Team Champion, IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion, and AAA World Tag Team Champion. He reportedly signed a more lucrative contract than other developmental stars and was never expected to spend a prolonged period of time in NXT because of that.

Haus of Wrestling has partnered with Inside The Ropes to present An Afternoon With Kevin Nash And Sean Waltman on November 25 at Joe’s Live in Rosemont, IL, ten minutes from the All-State Arena. Tickets are now available at JoesLiveRosemont.com.
