Danhausen Seemingly Expresses AEW Frustrations With CM Punk Repost

In a few days’ time, it will have been eight months since Danhausen last wrestled in AEW. The eccentric star’s last match was at AEW Revolution back in March where he and Orange Cassidy unsuccessfully challenged for The Gunns’ AEW World Tag Team Championship in a Four-Way match that also included The Acclaimed as well as Jay Lethal and Jeff Jarrett. During the bout, Danhausen suffered a torn pec which has kept him out of action. In recent weeks, however, vignettes teasing his return have aired on both AEW Rampage and Collision.

Due to his spooky persona, many expected him to return on this week’s AEW Dynamite which took place the day after Halloween. Surprisingly, however, he did not appear nor was even referenced on the program and it appears the AEW star himself isn’t too happy about that.

Earlier today, Danhausen retweeted a post from a nearly decade-old post from CM Punk that reads, “This poop just ain’t fun anymore”, which was posted less than two months before Punk famously walked out of WWE following the 2014 Royal Rumble and quit professional wrestling entirely for seven years. This isn’t the only sign of Danhausen’s potential frustrations though as it followed several quote-posts and reposts of fans wondering why he did not appear on Dynamite.

Most notably, he revealed that he was even at the venue for Dynamite last night and just wasn’t used for the show. One fan posted, “I told y’all that man was not in the building” to which Danhausen quote-posted with a short video clip that simply said, “Wrong.” During the show itself, he also posted a photo of himself seemingly backstage in front of a sign for AEW male talent accompanied with the caption “~nope~”, seemingly shooting down hopes that he would appear.

What did happen on Dynamite, however, was Tony Khan’s announcement, which was the on-sale ticket date for AEW All In 2024; The Young Bucks & Hangman Page losing the Ring of Honor World Six-Man Championship thanks to interference from Swerve Strickland; an appearance from Paul Wight to save his former Jeri-Show partner Chris Jericho and more!
