AEW Collision And Rampage Draw Historically Low Viewership

This past Saturday night, WWE and AEW went head-to-head as WWE Survivor Series streamed live on Peacock, and AEW Collision and Rampage went back-to-back on TNT. Notably, WWE’s big premium live event saw the return of recently terminated AEW star CM Punk, and there was a fair amount of intrigue around whether his appearance would even happen. In general, Collision has not fared well when pitted against WWE premium live events, seeing hits to their viewership against Fastlane and SummerSlam.

Wrestlenomics reports that this past Saturday night was no different, as WWE was able once again to deal a blow to the viewership of AEW. Per the report, AEW Rampage, which aired before Collision and against the WWE Survivor Series pre-show, drew an average overall audience of 264,000 viewers, with about 110,000 in the key P18 – 49 demographic. This is down 6% in average overall viewership and 9% in the P18 – 49 demo from the week before. It had the lowest average overall viewership of any episode of Rampage ever, including other preempted installments, and fourth-lowest P18 – 49 viewership.

AEW Collision drew an average overall audience of 317,000 viewers, with about 121,000 of those in the P18 – 49 demo. This is up 17% in average overall viewership and 9% in the key demo from the week before when Collision aired on Friday night head-to-head with WWE SmackDown. It was the lowest viewership ever for an episode of Collision airing in its normal timeslot, with last week’s episode against SmackDown being the lowest watched ever. It was the fifth-lowest viewership in the P18 – 49 demo, including preempted episodes.

Tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite will not see any WWE competition. Earlier today, AEW World Champion MJF announced that he will appear on tonight’s episode despite his injury and intense pain.

The latest AEW viewership numbers will be discussed on tomorrow’s episode of Rumor & Innuendo. It will stream live at Noon EST on our X account and YouTube channel before being added to the Rumor & Innuendo podcast feed.
