The Iron Claw LA Premiere Notes: MJF, John Cena, NXT Star, More

Last night, The Iron Claw got its big Los Angeles premiere, and many stars came out for the occasion. AEW World Champion MJF, featured in the film and serves as an Executive Producer, was front and center, sans his coveted “Triple B” championship. During his time on the red carpet, one exchange made pro wrestling fans’ heads turn, and that was when Friedman posed and joked with multi-time WWE Champion John Cena. While the two men certainly looked happy to see one another, it is difficult to discern what they said to one another, so let your speculation run wild.

Elsewhere on the red carpet, Friedman could be seen speaking with Kevin Von Erich, who the film is largely based around, Zac Efron, who plays Kevin, and WWE NXT star Baron Corbin.

Cena was also seen speaking with Kevin and Efron at the event, the latter of which he had nothing but kind things to say about afterward on social media.

“Incredibly proud of @ZacEfron for an outstanding performance in @A24’s #TheIronClaw,” he wrote. “Thank you for doing the work to help introduce a new audience to one of our industry’s most important families. See it in theaters Dec. 22nd!!!”

Chavo Guerrero, also featured in the film and serves as an executive producer, will go live with former WWE creative team member Robert Karpeles and me at Noon EST on Rumor & Innuendo. Guerrero will discuss the film and take questions from the comments section. Tune in live and catch the replay on the Haus of Wrestling X account and YouTube channel.
