This past week, AEW star CJ Perry has been dealing with a nightmare as she had a near-fatal infection break out in her finger after getting a splinter backstage at Dynamite. Perry shared a positive update recently but noted she may still have to undergo another surgery. Last night, she finally gave fans the news they wanted to hear: she’s leaving the hospital.
“Going home đđź,” she wrote in an Instagram post.
Along with the brief message, she included a collage of photos and videos from her hospital ordeal. Several photos feature her mangled finger that had to be operated on several times in order to completely remove the infection. The videos are a mix of her receiving modern medical treatment, some of which really impresses her husband, Miro, as well as continued graphic content, like her vomiting over the side of her bed.
Perry and Miro are currently at odds on AEW TV, something she told Haus of Wrestling earlier this year is intentional, as those programs usually draw the most attention for the couple. Andrade El Idolo currently serves as Perry’s client on-screen and is competing in the AEW Continental Classic.
