Goldberg Calls Vince McMahon ‘A Piece Of Sh-t’

Bill Goldberg wrestled his last WWE match on February 9, 2022, losing to Roman Reigns at the Elimination Chamber in Saudi Arabia. It was the last official match on his WWE contract, and while he remains a Hall of Famer, he is not an active competitor. That isn’t to say he may not be again one day, as AEW President Tony Khan has spoken about his good relationship with the former NFL player and has left the door open to him competing for All Elite Wrestling.

On the latest episode of the Steve & Captain Evil podcast, Goldberg was asked to give his thoughts on his former WWE boss, Vince McMahon.

“Vince is like Dana White,” he began. “He’s the big boss, and he makes everything happen, but in all honesty, he gave me the opportunity to put my wife and my son on the front row and gave me the ability to perform again in front of them. So I owe him everything until we went to Saudi Arabia, and he asked me to put Roman Reigns over, and I had COVID. And I remember calling him from my house here, and I said, ‘Listen, here’s the deal. I’ll do it if you give me a retirement match,’ and I had COVID.”

“I did what he asked,” he continued. “As a performer that runs around in his underwear, you’re very self-aware. I was 56 years old when I did this, right? So, as a human being you’re conscientious about how you look in a bathing suit, especially two months prior to you being in that bathing suit in front of millions of people. You couldn’t work out for two months because you had COVID.”

“So I put myself in a horribly shitty situation, to get what I wanted to, but to satiate him and to give him what he wanted,” he concluded. “The problem is he never held up his bargain. So Vince is a piece of sh-t as far as I’m concerned.”
