FTR Challenge The Young Bucks To Rubber Match At AEW All In

Following their successful AEW World Tag Team Championship defense against Big Bill and Brian Cage on tonight’s AEW Collision, Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler of FTR laid out a challenge to the Young Bucks for a match at All In later this month, at Wembley Stadium.

“We’re gonna get in a little bit of trouble tonight, but we’re in the Carolinas, and we do things differently here,” Harwood said. The tag champ – a North Carolina native – spoke about the legacy of FTR, the caliber of opponents they’ve faced in recent weeks and months, and the incredible year they had in 2022. However, Harwood shared there was one more thing they needed to do in order to cement their legacy as the greatest tag team of all time.

“Young Bucks,” Wheeler said. “I said we had unfinished business, so how’s about we finish it at Wembley Stadium?”

“80,000 strong,” Harwood continued. “Young Bucks, FTR, number three, the rubber match. Who is the greatest tag team of all time? Top guys, out.”

Last night on AEW Rampage, Matt and Nick Jackson made it clear that they’re returning to the tag team division. For the last year, the duo has been focused first on their trio with Kenny Omega and then on fighting the Blackpool Combat Club alongside Omega, “Hangman” Adam Page, and other allies. That feud culminated in a Blood & Guts match on AEW Dynamite several weeks back, with The Elite coming out on top with the aid of Kota Ibushi.

Following last night’s promo from the Young Bucks, Matt and Jeff Hardy came out to challenge Nick and Matt to a match. According to Matt, a fight against The Hardy Boyz is a perfect way to dive into the deep end of the tag division, which is all the more appropriate given the challenge laid out by the tag champs tonight. The Young Bucks will face Matt and Jeff Hardy this Wednesday on Dynamite and will likely address FTR’s challenge.

FTR and the Young Bucks have wrestled twice before. The first match, which took place at Full Gear 2020, saw the Young Bucks emerge victorious. The two teams faced off again on the April 6, 2022, episode of Dynamite, with FTR successfully defending the AAA and ROH World Tag Team Championships against the Bucks.
