AEW Dynamite Blood & Guts Reaches More Than 2.5 Million Viewers On TBS

Haus of Wrestling has received the following press release from Warner Brothers Discovery touting the success of this past Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite Blood & Guts.

As the #1 cable telecast on Wednesday, July 19 from 8-10PM ET, the live “AEW: Dynamite” Blood & Guts show from the TD Garden in Boston, Mass dominated cable on the night reaching more than 2.5 million total viewers on TBS.

Presented by Discovery’s “Shark Week” and featuring the Golden Elite (Kenny Omega, Matt & Nick Jackson, Hangman Page and Kota Ibushi) squaring off against The Blackpool Combat Club (Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta), Konosuke Takeshita and PAC inside a double ring steel cage, the show garnered a 1.03 L3 rating among Adults 25-54, a 17% percent increase over the prior week and was TBS’ highest rated, most watched Primetime in that demo in more than two months.

Among Men 25-54, the show was #1 for the night in all of TV, garnering a 1.40 L3 rating.  The show, which also featured Adam Cole & AEW World Champion MJF facing Daniel Garcia & Sammy Guevara in the Finals of the Blind Eliminator Tag Team Tournament; Dr. Britt Baker DMD taking on Kayla Sparks; and Hook defending his FTW Championship against Jack Perry, garnered a .83 L3 rating among Adults 18-49, an 11% increase in viewership week over week.

All Elite Wrestling is riding a wave of momentum as Collision continues on as a top-five cable original for Saturdays, reportedly meeting Warner Brothers Discovery’s expectation for success. The young promotion also has its All In event on the horizon, hailing from Wembley Stadium in London, England. If they can sell a few thousand more tickets, which they have the capacity to do so, the show could break the all-time attendance record for a pro wrestling event.

Tony Khan confirmed last week that fans worldwide will be able to watch All In live but did not get into specifics of how it will be available. He did note that Bleacher Report has carried AEW PPVs in the past, which could be a nod to where fans will be able to watch it.
