Edge Does Not Commit To Retire In Post-WWE Smackdown Promo

Tonight’s episode of WWE Friday Night Smackdown was capped by a main event of WWE Hall of Famer Edge taking on former three-time WWE Champion Sheamus. The match held special significance between the two men, as Edge has openly spoken about how he has always wanted the one-on-one confrontation and expressed his interest in this being his final pro wrestling match ever.

The Rated R Superstar emerged victorious at the end of tonight’s Smackdown, and after the cameras stopped rolling, he cut a promo for the live crowd.

“What I can say is this is my last time in front of y’all,” he began. “I don’t think I can make it another year and get a good match. I’m just being honest with you, but don’t let that be a downer, as, man, what an experience you’ve all given me. I will never forget it. I will never forget it. And when I am 84 years old and don’t remember much, you better be sure I’m gonna remember this.”

Edge’s comments, obviously, leave the door open for him to keep competing in WWE action.
