Update On If Cash Wheeler Can Travel To AEW All In Following Arrest

Cash Wheeler, real-name Daniel Wheeler, turned himself in to Orlando officials last night on a warrant for one count of aggressive assault with a firearm. The warrant stemmed from a July 27 “road rage-type incident” where Wheeler allegedly flashed a gun at people he did not know. He was told by the judge not to make contact with the alleged victims or witnesses and to turn over all firearms to Orlando police. A bond of $2,500 was also handed down.

It was noted during his hearing earlier this morning that this is Wheeler’s first offense, and he has no previous record. Because of that, the court did not impose other restrictions that they could, like random urine testing or being given a GPS monitor. The court also chose not to demand Wheeler surrender his passport, which means he looks to be free to travel internationally and could still wrestle at AEW All In London against The Young Bucks, as planned. Furthermore, Haus of Wrestling could not find any travel restrictions in the court documents we reviewed. However, he is being charged with a third-degree felony and, if found guilty, faces up to five years in prison and would not be allowed to travel if convicted.

Wheeler was last seen in action alongside “Real” AEW World Champion CM Punk and his AEW World Tag Team Championship partner, Dax Harwood, collectively known as CMFTR, this past Saturday night on Collision when they took on The House of Black in trios action. At this time, there is no word on whether Wheeler’s arrest will affect any plans AEW has for him and FTR in the future, but it is worth noting the promotion released the following statement shortly after the news broke.

“AEW has been made aware of the charge, and we are closely monitoring the situation. (Wheeler) is fully cooperating with local authorities.”

Haus of Wrestling has reached out to AEW in regard to Wheeler’s arrest and if they were aware of the charge against him prior to this morning. As we have noted, after asking around, we have been unable to find anyone close to Wheeler that knew about the charge before today. Fightful has also reported something similar, noting no AEW talent they have spoken with was aware of the charge before hearing about it today.
