Billy Gunn & Acclaimed Title Match Official For AEW All In

After teasing retirement weeks ago, Billy Gunn made his grand return on AEW Dynamite tonight, coming to the aid of Max Caster and Anthony Bowens against the House of Black. Letting the group know he had no intentions of retiring just yet, Gunn challenged Malakai Black, Brody King, and Buddy Matthews to an AEW World Tag Team Championship match for this Sunday.

Gunn has previously been pinned twice by Black in trios competition, leading to the WWE Hall of Famer contemplating retirement onscreen. With the match made official, the AEW World Trios Championship match becomes the tenth, and possibly final, bout added to the card (including the Ring of Honor World Tag Team Championship match on the pre-show).

The House of Black has held AEW’s tag titles since March 5, when they defeated Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks at AEW Revolution. Since then, the group has defended their titles against Orange Cassidy and the Best Friends, The Jericho Appreciation Society and, most recently, the trio of CM Punk and FTR on AEW Collision.

Since losing the AEW World Tag Team Championship to Austin and Colten Gunn in February, The Acclaimed have been looking to find their footing once again. Bowens pledged to win championship gold alongside Gunn several months back, and this Sunday marks their third opportunity to do so.

In addition to the newly-announced trios match, AEW All In is headlined by Adam Cole challenging MJF for the AEW World Championship, and also includes Kenny Omega, “Hangman” Adam Page, and Kota Ibushi taking on Konosuke Takeshita, “Switchblade” Jay White, and Juice Robinson. Hikaru Shida will defend the AEW Women’s World Championship against Saraya, Toni Storm, and Dr. Britt Baker, while Darby Allin and Sting face Swerve Strickland and Christian Cage. Cage is replacing AR Fox, who was fired from the Mogul Embassy earlier tonight.
