Seth Rollins Accepts World Heavyweight Title Challenge For WWE Crown Jewel

Tonight’s WWE Raw opened with World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins making his way to the ring to celebrate his victory over Shinsuke Nakamura in a Last Man Standing match at WWE Fastlane over the weekend. Rollins’ aim was to spend the night enjoying some well-earned rest and relaxation. However, he found himself interrupted by former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre, cutting his celebration short.

Although McIntyre’s character has gained a rougher edge in recent weeks, he was quite upfront with Rollins tonight. Instead of demanding a title match tonight or another night soon, McIntyre told the champion he wanted him as close to fully healed as possible. McIntyre then laid out a challenge for WWE Crown Jewel, set to take place on November 4 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Rollins then accepted, and McIntyre exited peacefully, leaving Rollins to enjoy a night of partying.

However, tonight just wasn’t the night for Rollins. 2023 Men’s Money in the Bank winner Damian Priest appeared from behind the champion, laying him out while McIntyre watched from the ramp and made a choice not to intervene. Priest then called for his allies in The Judgment Day to bring out his Money in the Bank contract, at which point McIntyre finally decided to interfere. The former champion knocked Mysterio down, grabbed the briefcase, and threw it toward the top of the ramp. While it didn’t happen tonight, it’s clear that Priest is nearing a cash-in attempt. The question now is whether or not Rollins will still hold the title come November 4.
