After losing the AEW Women’s Championship to Hikaru Shida earlier this year, Toni Storm began her “Timeless” transition. Taking on the demeanor of an old-school Hollywood starlet, Storm began participating in sit-down interviews with RJ City that regularly saw her become overly demanding and paranoid. As part of her new presentation, she has also been seen with a butler, Luther, who patiently dotes on her. Recently, the newly signed Mariah May has been creeping into Storm’s spotlight, and a feud between them seems to be budding.
With all that in mind, AEW President Tony Khan announced the following on X ahead of tomorrow night’s AEW Dynamite.
“Tomorrow, Wed 12/6 Montreal @BellCentre Wednesday Night #AEWDynamite @TBSNetwork 8pm ET/7pm CT,” he began. “For her Championship Match vs @Skyebyee on Dynamite, AEW Women’s World Champion Timeless Toni Storm will be introduced by @TCM host, the great @BenMank77 live on TBS TOMORROW NIGHT!”
Ben Mankiewicz became TCM’s second-ever host when he signed on for the role with the channel in 2003. He is also a film critic, podcast host, and commentator on various talk shows.
Tomorrow night’s big show in Montreal will feature a match between native Canadians Christian Cage and Adam Copeland for the AEW TNT Championship. On last week’s Dynamite, Cage attempted to bury the hatchet between the two men and have the match called off. Copeland had other ideas, as he delivered a low blow to his former friend and told him to “go f-ck himself” in a moment that TBS did not successfully bleep.
