Cody Rhodes Is Sending The Wrestling Club To WWE WrestleMania 40

On November 30, 2023, New York City school teacher Victor Tyler Perry shared a video of one of his students making a plea to pro wrestling fans. The student is part of Perry’s The Wrestling Club school group, which has exploded in popularity over the last year or so. TWC, as it is popularly known, watches classic and modern pro wrestling matches each week, sometimes welcomes famous guests, and occasionally attends live events. In the video, the student asked fans to help them get to WWE WrestleMania 40 by purchasing popcorn so they could see stars like Cody Rhodes in action.

“Let’s get TWC to Wrestlemania 40!” The initial post blared. “Please support by donating or buying some delicious popcorn to help us reach our goal. I appreciate all of YOU that have shown us so much love and support!”

With a little over a month past and some popcorn sold, the group was met with exciting news not long ago from one of the WWE stars they hoped to see, Rhodes.

“I could buy a bunch of popcorn or I could just tell ya’,” Rhodes began. “I’ve got your tickets and hotels. You’re going to Wrestlemania 40!”

Depending on how the next few months play out, TWC may see Rhodes in main-event action. Despite The Rock returning to WWE this past Monday night on Raw, many fans still believe Rhodes could finish his story at WWE WrestleMania 40.

WWE will present their Elimination Chamber PPV, the last stop on the road to Mania, at the Optus Stadium in Perth, Australia. The huge event could use a huge main event, and it is possible Rock vs Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns will go on down under, setting up a possible Rhodes vs. Reigns rematch at WrestleMania.
