Deonna Purrazzo Makes AEW Debut On Dynamite

Tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite featured the in-ring debut of Mariah May. The blonde bombshell had been a prized free agent, and upon joining the promotion, she quickly aligned herself with AEW Women’s Champion “Timeless” Toni Storm. In her debut bout, May dispatched of Queen Aminata in about six minutes before cutting an impassioned promo putting over her debut victory. Before May could get too far into her celebration, former Impact Knockout’s Champion Deonna Purrazzo had her music hit.

Purrazzo made her way to the ring to confront May. The former Impact star reminded fans that she is from New Jersey, where the show was taking place, which got a big pop. She then addressed May and sent a pointed warning to her mentor and friend, Storm.

“No matter where she runs or where she hides, I will find her,” she stated. “Because Mariah, I am all elite, and we are in the age of The Virtuossa.”

Purrazzo and May proceeded to stare each other down before May responded.

“Deonna, I am not the messenger, so tell her yourself, b-tch.”

May then slapped Purrazzo, which resulted in a powerful rebuttal smack from the debuting AEW star.

“You don’t want to get slapped by a Jersey girl,” Taz quipped on commentary.

Based on how the promo exchange went down, it would seem Purrazzo squarely has her sights set on Storm and her AEW Women’s World Championship.
