WWE NXT Draws Highest Overall Viewership In Three Years

Last night’s episode of WWE NXT was capped off by regular viewership draw Dominik Mysterio reclaiming the NXT North American Championship from Trick Williams. It was the end to an eventful show that saw John Cena, Paul Heyman, and Cody Rhodes be announced for next week’s head-to-head battle against AEW Dynamite.

Wrestlenomics reports that last night’s episode of WWE NXT drew an average of 857,000 viewers, with about 289,000 of those in the coveted P18 – 49 demographic. It was the highest overall viewership for the show since October 28, 2020, and it attracted the most P18 – 49 viewers since the September 19 episode last month. That episode featured WWE NXT Women’s Champion Becky Lynch teaming with Lyra Valkyria in a winning effort against Kiana James and Tiffany Stratton.

This week’s episode of WWE NXT was up 35% in total viewers and 23% in P18 – 49 viewers from the week before. The eight-minute overrun for this week’s show saw the most overall and P18 – 49 viewers of any quarter-hour, drawing an average overall audience of 928,000, with about 346,000 in the key demo. The overrun featured the conclusion of Mysterio versus Williams and the backstage vignette of Heyman announcing his involvement in next week’s show.

Heyman will corner Bron Breakker in next Tuesday’s main event against Carmelo Hayes. The Tribal Chief’s wiseman getting involved in the match came after Hayes revealed that Cena would be in his corner. Heyman said that Roman Reigns personally asked him to get involved in the match due to Cena’s ongoing meddling in The Bloodline’s business. On top of that blockbuster bout, Rhodes will make his WWE NXT debut and deliver an announcement.
