Eddie Kingston Vs. Minoru Suzuki To Air Ahead Of AEW Dynamite

AEW co-owner Tony Khan is pulling out all the stops for tomorrow’s Title Tuesday edition of AEW Dynamite. In addition to making the first 30 minutes free from commercials, as well as a 10-minute overrun reportedly taking place, Khan has added a Buy-In pre-show to tomorrow’s episode. That pre-show is set to include Eddie Kingston defending the Ring of Honor World Championship and NJPW STRONG Openweight Championship against NJPW veteran Minoru Suzuki. The pre-show will air on AEW’s X, Facebook, and YouTube pages beginning at 7:30 p.m. ET tomorrow evening.

This week’s Dynamite is airing on Tuesday as a result of the MLB playoff schedule, forcing Dynamite to go head-to-head with WWE NXT for the first time since 2021. Because of that, WWE has loaded up tomorrow’s NXT with main roster talent, as well as announcing that the first 30 minutes will be commercial-free, which Khan later added to Dynamite. John Cena and Paul Heyman will be involved in the Carmelo Hayes vs. Bron Breakker bout, while Cody Rhodes will appear to make an announcement. Additionally, former WWE NXT Women’s Champion Asuka will return to the brand for a match against Roxanne Perez, and the Brawling Brutes will be in action. AEW Dynamite is set to feature Adam Copeland’s in-ring debut for the company, as well as matches involving Bryan Danielson, “Switchblade” Jay White, Saraya, and more.

Since defeating Claudio Castagnoli at AEW Grand Slam, Kingston has been on something of a run, holding two titles and picking up victories against Katsuyori Shibata, Komander, and Rocky Romero. As an admitted NJPW superfan, Kingston is undoubtedly excited to get back in the ring with the former NJPW King of Pro-Wrestling Champion. The two have wrestled three times before, but always in tag team matches, with tomorrow marking their first singles bout.
