Rhea Ripley To Defend Title In Fatal Five-Way At WWE Crown Jewel

Tonight on WWE Raw, Rhea Ripley defended the Women’s World Championship against Shayna Baszler. Rather than a full-fledged match, however, things were interrupted by a variety of women, and the referee called for a disqualification just a few minutes in. The brawl was initiated by Nia Jax, who made her way down the ramp first to interrupt the title bout. Jax was quickly followed by Raquel Rodriguez and Zoey Stark, with things soon descending into chaos.

A little bit later in the night, Ripley approached Raw General Manager Adam Pearce backstage, insisting that he prevent her matches from being interrupted in the future. However, instead of coalescing to her demands, Pearce booked Ripley in a title match for WWE Crown Jewel on November 4. Ripley will defend against Baszler, Jax, Rodriguez, and Stark.

Ripley successfully defended against Rodriguez at WWE Payback on September 2 and again on the September 11 edition of WWE Raw. Neither Jax nor Stark have challenged Ripley for the title yet, making Crown Jewel their first opportunity at the new championship.

The five-way match now becomes the second bout announced for Crown Jewel. The show will also include Seth Rollins defending the World Heavyweight Championship against Drew McIntyre, with Rollins accepting the challenge from McIntyre last week on Raw.

Haus of Wrestling has partnered with Inside The Ropes to present An Afternoon With Kevin Nash And Sean Waltman on November 25 at Joe’s Live in Rosemont, IL, ten minutes from the All-State Arena. Tickets are now available at JoesLiveRosemont.com.
