Nick Jackson Responds To Criticism Of Build To The Young Bucks Vs. The Golden Jets

All Elite Wrestling presents its latest pay-per-view event, AEW Full Gear, this Saturday night. The annual event began in 2019 and is traditionally held around Thanksgiving. Due to AEW Collision usually airing on Saturday nights, it will air early this week on Friday night and go head-to-head with WWE SmackDown. This year’s Full Gear will feature AEW World Champion MJF defending against Bullet Club Gold leader Jay White, with other big matches like The Young Bucks versus The Golden Jets (Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega), Adam Page versus Swerve Strickland, and “Timeless” Toni Storm versus Hikaru Shida rounding out the card.

Yesterday, Nick Jackson took to Instagram to hype The Young Bucks match against Omega and Jericho.

“A friendly competition with Kenny,” he began. “No break ups. Just good wrestling. But jericho…”

Jackson’s comment caught the attention of an Instagram user who decided to express their criticism of the build for the match.

“Nick um,” they wrote. “A friendly contest doesn’t normally drive someone to spend 50$ on a PPV.”

“Not being on the show was the other option,” Jackson replied.

The match between the two teams may be friendly, but the stakes are high. This past Wednesday night on Dynamite, the teams agreed that if The Young Bucks fail to defeat The Golden Jets, they will yield the guaranteed AEW World Tag Team Championship opportunity they earned at WrestleDream to Omega and Jericho. However, if Omega and Jericho fail to pick up the win, they will be forced to disband as a tag team.

Regardless of which team wins and has a guaranteed AEW World Tag Team Championships opportunity, it is up in the air who will be the tag champions by the end of Full Gear. Current AEW World Tag Team Champions Ricky Starks and Big Bill will defend their newly won titles in a Fatal 4-Way against former champions FTR, La Faccion Ingornable (Rush and Dralistico), and Kings Of The Black Throne (Malakai Black and Brody King).
