Discovery Announces New Pro Wrestling Series ‘Big Little Brawlers’

Warner Brothers Discovery has been the home for All Elite Wrestling for five years, and now, it looks like they will be adding another pro wrestling product to their line-up, Big Little Brawlers. Variety reports that the upcoming six-episode debut season will kick off on Tuesday, January 9, at 10 pm. The reality series follows the wrestlers and crew of the Micro Wrestling Federation as they set up shop in Pigeon Forge, TN, also the home of Dollywood. Some of the stars for the promotion include Pinky Shortcake and Syko, Ivar the Micro, Lil’ Show, and Hot Rod.

Here is the official description of the show.

Despite internal dramas and frustrations, Micro Wresting Federation CEO Jack Darrell Hillegass encourages the group to work together as a family as they approach ‘MicroFest,’ the biggest micro wresting event of the year. As they attempt to achieve their piece of the American Dream, a group of remarkable little people athletes with larger-than-life personalities are forced to overcome ego, injury, and the limitations imposed by society.

The announcement of Big Little Brawlers comes when AEW is looking to lock down a new TV rights deal with WBD. Speculation has swirled over the last forty-eight hours or so that WWE has been in talks with Warner about the TV rights for Raw. Earlier today, I released a report summarizing what I have heard about those rumors and noted that if WWE Raw winds up on TNT or TBS, Discovery could be a landing spot for AEW.
