Rhea Ripley Announces WWE Women’s Title Defense For Day 1

Tonight’s episode of WWE Raw has been an eventful installment that kicked off with R-Truth challenging JD McDonagh to a “Loser Leaves The Judgment Day Match.” Of course, Truth has never been made an official member of the group, despite thinking he has been initiated, so the stakes for the bout were already in question. Regardless, Truth was able to pick up the win, seemingly booting McDonagh from the group. Later in the show, McDonagh could be seen arguing backstage with Damian Priest about his status with the group, with Rhea Ripley having his back to stay in.

Ultimately, Priest succumbed to the pressure from his stablemates and agreed to let McDonagh remain a member. This was when Ripley decreed that they needed to do away with anyone trying to interfere in their business and turned her attention to The Creed Brothers and Ivy Nile.

Ripley then announced she would defend her WWE Women’s World Championship against Nile on the January 1, 2024, Day 1 edition of WWE Raw. Also announced for Day 1 is Nia Jax versus Becky Lynch and WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth “Freaking” Rollins versus Drew McIntyre.
