The Rock Is Ready To Go ‘All Out’ And ‘All In’ On WWE Return

Last week, on WWE Raw Day 1, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson returned, jaw-jacked with Jinder Mahal, and eventually laid the SmackDown. It was the usual spectacle that fans have become accustomed to when Johnson comes back, but he ended the segment on an unexpected note. As he mused about where he should sit that night at a restaurant, he asked, “Should The Rock sit at the head of the table?”

This was The Rock’s first in-ring tease that he is angling for a WrestleMania match against Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns. He did leave the door open for it happening last year on an episode of The Pat McAfee Show. Paul Heyman, Reigns’ “wise man,” responded to The Rock’s Day 1 comment on SmackDown this past Friday night, chalking it up to the Brahma Bull just looking for attention.

The Rock has taken to Instagram to share a video montage looking back at his Day 1 appearance. He also included the following comment with it, which has raised a few eyebrows, pun intended.

“These ‘electrifying’ nights are so special and unforgettable,” he writes. “The connection with the people, the energy, vibe, authenticity, disruption, love, mana — the CHILLS. And now we make history, raise the bar and do things that have never been done before in @wwe. We go all out. And all in. ~ people’s champ ✊🏾🖤 🎥 @jonbrandoncruz

In the video, The Rock can be heard reminiscing about what it was like to be back on WWE Raw.

“Yet again, just an incredible experience,” he began. “Unforgettable every time I come back home to the WWE. There were moments when the hairs on my arm and on my body were standing up. That kind of electricity. That kind of energy. Fans, you are just so excited. Guys it never ever ever ever gets old. I am so boundlessly grateful to get out there and not only connect with the audiences but also get out there in the middle of the ring and rock and roll with whoever I’m dancing with.

“This guy in there tonight, Jinder Mahal, the guy’s a stud. He looks like a million bucks. It was great to mix it up with him dropping those People’s Elbows on him. It was a really, really special night. And on top of that, what made this whole thing unforgettable was what I said at the end. I’ll leave it at that. An incredible night. San Diego, I love you. Thank you. Happy New Year.”
