Marty Jannetty May Require Amputation; Announces Passing Of His Sister

Few WWE tag teams are as fondly remembered as The Rockers. The team was made up of future WWE Hall of Fame inductee Shawn Michaels and Marty Jannetty, the latter of whom has made headlines over the years for his outrageous behavior and statements. Jannetty’s eccentric life was the subject of the Dark Side of The Ring season four finale this past year.

Jannetty took to Facebook earlier today to share the following news with his fans:

I can’t hardly formulate a sentence right now, it’s a tough time in life, yesterday day they told me they want to cut my leg off.. struggling with that my brother called last night and, my sister died in his arms basically. I don’t even know what I’m saying right now. I don’t think I’m doing the podcast show tomorrow night, please forgive me, I do loves y’all..I just can’t. I’m so lost right now

PS- Many of y’all know both my sisters, Diane is still hanging in tough as a mo-fo, Diane STAY STAY STRONG, KEEP BELIEF, YOU TOO GENO!

Jannetty has undergone two ankle surgeries in the past and was forced to retire from in-ring action due to injury. His last pro wrestling match took place in 2018 at the BOTB 7 Legends & All Stars independent pro wrestling event. He is a former WWE Intercontinental and Tag Team Champion, but never held the tag titles with Michaels. His lone WWE Tag Team Championship run came alongside The 1-2-3 Kid in 1994, which only lasted seven days. His last WWE match took place on the October 19, 2009 episode of WWE Raw, where he lost to The Miz in less than three minutes.

Haus of Wrestling sends its best to Jannetty during this difficult time.
