Tonight’s WWE NXT Deadline has been an eventful affair, and things have not calmed down. Moments ago, Trick Williams defeated Dijak, Bron Breakker, Josh Briggs, and Tyler Bate to become the men’s Iron Survivor. Williams will get a shot at the WWE NXT Championship along with his victory. Who Williams will face when the time comes is uncertain as the main event has yet to take place and will see Ilja Dragunov defend his title against Baron Corbin. Whichever man leaves with the gold will likely come face-to-face with Williams on Tuesday night.
Tonight’s show has also featured CM Punk appearing on NXT TV for the first time, Dragon Lee capturing the NXT North American Championship, and Blair Davenport winning the women’s Iron Survivor match. Davenport’s victory was quickly overshadowed by Cora Jade, who made a dramatic return, laying out WWE NXT Women’s Champion Lyra Valkyria standing in the entrance aisle.
